Interior trim supplier Detroit Manufacturing Systems LLC plans to hire 200 assembly workers by January to support production growth of Ford Motor Co.’s F-150 truck.

The joint venture between Wayne, Mich-based Rush Group and French auto supplier Faurecia SA will host two job fairs the next two Saturdays to fill those positions, the company said in a news release.

Both job fairs, on Nov. 1 and Nov. 8, will be held at DMS’ plant in Detroit.

Pay for the assembly jobs starts at $11 per hour, plus benefits.

DMS employs 800 and assembles parts for several Ford models, including the Expedition, Explorer, Focus, Mustang, Taurus and Lincoln Navigator.

Ford helped form DMS in 2012 in a deal between Rush Group and Faurecia.

Under that deal, Ford created the minority-owned supplier — Andra Rush, DMS CEO, is a member of the American Indian Mohawk tribe — and unloaded its $1.1 billion book of interiors business at its 1.6 million-square-foot ACH Saline plant in Saline, Mich. Faurecia took over production at Saline while DMS handles assembly and some injection molding for the parts.

As a result of the deal, Rush Group controls 55 percent stake of the joint venture, which took over about 70 percent of the book of business.
